NPR Student Podcast Challenge

In times when death faces us more forwardly, it causes us to explore questions that wouldn’t have risen to the surface otherwise. For Syd Walter, that question was “How do you want to be remembered?” This question was asked of her during her time at Camp Sealth, and for her submission to this years NPR Student Podcast Challenge, she and friend Noah Reasoner, created a story surrounding and interrogating that question in order to get closer to looking forward to legacy.

The NPR Student Podcast Challenge is an annual contest for students across the country to explore creating audio stories for a chance to get featured on All Things Considered, and be in communication with NPR. Syd created a submission last year, which won an honorable mention for her story “What's Good?” This year she teamed up with Musician and friend Noah for a story that brings a more compelling narrative and captivates listeners with breath taking humanity.
